The CONNECT framework is the practice at the center of Conscious Accountability. It turns a value most leaders already hold into seven things people can actually do, before, during, and after a commitment. This one-page download puts all seven on a single sheet so a team can keep it in view.
The seven practices
- Creating Clarity. Get explicit about goals, roles, expectations, decision rights, and what success looks like, before the work starts. Most accountability breakdowns begin here.
- Opening Up Engagement. Create the conditions for people to speak, contribute, disagree, and commit. Silence is information the work needs.
- Nailing It. Do what you said you would do, and help others deliver too. Follow-through is where trust is built or spent.
- Noticing. Pay attention to what is happening, in yourself and in others, without rushing to judgment. Noticing runs underneath every other practice.
- Exchanging Feedback. Share what you see, listen to what others see, and use the exchange to learn. Feedback is a two-way exchange, not a verdict.
- Claiming It. Own the result, including your part in what worked and what did not.
- Trying Again. Use what you learned to adjust, recommit, and run the next experiment.
How to use the one-pager
Leaders use it three ways. As a checklist before a kickoff: have we created clarity and opened up engagement? As a diagnostic when something slips: which practice went missing? And as a shared language across a team, so “we skipped Noticing” is a normal thing to say in a meeting.
CONNECT is the backbone of every Conscious Growth Partners engagement, from a single executive coaching relationship to an organization-wide rollout. The 3 Pillars (Clarity, Courage, Continuity) are a shortcut into it. Read more in What Is Conscious Accountability?, or bring a CONNECT workshop to your leadership team.
