David's point of view

Make impact discussable.

Leadership gets stronger when people can talk honestly about what is happening, including the effect they are having on one another.

David's work sits at the intersection of psychology, leadership, and organizational life. He helps leaders slow down enough to see the patterns shaping a decision, relationship, or team. From there, they can become more deliberate about the impact they want to create.

That process requires candor and care. A difficult message has to be clear enough to be useful. The relationship also has to remain strong enough for people to stay in the conversation, learn, and decide what they will do next.

The work starts when people can examine their impact without turning the conversation into blame.A principle that guides David's approach
Where David can help

Leadership situations that benefit from a clearer view.

David is especially useful when the problem carries real business consequences and the human dynamics cannot be separated from the work.

01

Your intent and impact are not matching.

You are getting results, but feedback suggests your leadership is creating friction, distance, or uncertainty that could limit what happens next.

02

A consequential relationship is stuck.

A founder partnership, senior-team relationship, family-business dynamic, or key stakeholder relationship needs a more honest and productive conversation.

03

Your team needs more trust and accountability.

People are capable, but avoidance, unclear expectations, or weak repair is getting in the way of learning, coordination, and follow-through.

04

You are leading through a major transition.

Succession, growth, strategic change, or a new level of responsibility is asking you to rethink how you make decisions and bring others with you.

What it is like to work with David

Thoughtful enough to see the pattern. Direct enough to address it.

David creates space for reflection, then keeps the work connected to the decisions and behavior that matter.

He begins by understanding the system around the leader. That can include the business context, important relationships, stakeholder expectations, prior feedback, and the leader's own view of the situation.

David uses questions, observation, feedback, and practical experiments to help leaders see more clearly. Insight matters, but it has to travel. The work continues into the next conversation, meeting, decision, or commitment where a different response becomes possible.

His background as a psychologist informs the depth of the work. His experience as a CEO, educator, coach, and organizational consultant keeps it grounded in the realities of leadership.

Understand the context

Look at the person, relationships, expectations, and system shaping the situation.

Create useful candor

Make difficult information easier to discuss without making it less honest.

Experiment in the real work

Turn reflection into a specific behavior, conversation, or decision that can be tested.

Return and learn

Notice the result, claim what happened, and use that information to choose the next move.

Experience that shapes the work

Psychological depth, operating experience, and leadership education.

What David pays attention to

The moment a difficult conversation becomes possible.

David is interested in the conditions that help people become more honest, curious, and responsible for their impact.

He pays attention to what is being said, what has become hard to say, and what the group may already know but has not yet been able to use. The goal is to help people stay present long enough to understand one another, repair what needs attention, and move the work forward.
